Flamesavers Credit Union was formed in Staffordshire in 1992 and has grown steadily ever since.
Flamesavers Credit Union has a turnover in excess of two million pounds and has a board that is committed to providing competitive loan interest rates whilst returning as much of the profits as possible to the members in the form of an annual dividend payment.
We launched Flamesavers in Stoke on Trent in 1992. Initially offices were provided at Hanley Fire Station due to the generosity and constant support of a succession of Chief Officers. In 2019 we made the decision to leave Hanley Fire Station and are now based in private offices in Rope Street, Stoke-on-Trent.
We expanded in 2001 by inviting Cheshire Fire & Rescue to join the Credit Union. After this successful expansion we then included Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue in our Credit Union in 2010. Currently we have over 1,300 members throughout these three brigades.
Members’ queries and enquiries will be dealt with by our friendly staff; Andy Bell – Treasurer, Ann Fisher – Office Manager and Lisa Downs – Assistant Manager.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 3.00 pm. Any variation to this will be posted on the website, Facebook or Twitter.
